Standard Disclaimer

Most email should be considered like fleeting conversation, where speakers exaggerate for effect, use words in unfamiliar ways to explore unfinished thoughts, toss off uncompleted and exploratory ideas and hope that others will engage and respond and that the ongoing conversation will move toward some mutual advancement of understanding and truth.

Email should NOT be held to the same standard of thoughtfulness, finality, precision, and responsibility that is applied to works that have been thoroughly researched, rewritten, edited, vetted by attorneys, and distributed by major publishers.

If you want words you can take at face value, attack, peel apart for their inconsistency, quote in court, or blame for not meeting some rigorous standard, go to a library, a church, a law book, or a cemetery.

Better yet, write your own.
